Sarah is a recent graduate from Tyler School of Art with a BFA in Graphic and Interactive Design and a concentration in illustration. During her college career, she has been a consistent Dean’s list Award recipient and has had the opportunity to work as a designer for Temple’s School of Film, Theater, and Media Arts, as well as Boyer College of Music and Dance. After graduation, she’s excited to start working at Hallmark as a graphic design and illustration intern for the greetings product development team and the Visual Studios.
As a watercolorist, she debuted her professional art career with her solo shows "Tales of Youth" and “Vitae” in the summers of 2016 and 2017 at CityFolk Gallery in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. She was nominated for Berks Best in the Arts by the Reading Eagle Newspaper, has received multiple East Central PA Scholastic Art Awards, a Certificate of Special Congressional Recognition for Art, and the Curator's Choice Award from the Allentown Museum of Art, chosen from over 700 works. Her art has been featured in the Tyler Annual Spring exhibition in 2017 and 2018, and she recently received a faculty choice award and identity award for the AIGA “Flux” Student Design competition. Inspired by antiquity, mythology, and pre-Raphaelite art, Sarah paints figures in immersive and fantastical environments while making commentary on femininity and gender.
